Good Monday,
Another big week in Beaufort. Then again, every week in our special home town seems to be full with fun and meaningful events.
This week's newsletter covers many topics including young people leaving Beaufort, good deeds by Hope Haven and Beaufort Charities, urging readers to vote for a grant for Southside Park improvements, an interesting proposal to create an arts district downtown and the movement to encourage the Congress to build an outlying field to mitigate the "sound of freedom" (and keep me from sleeping on the tarmac!)
I wish I had the time to attend all of the events but believe quality experiences like the Duke Symphony Orchestra concert to raise money for the Keyserling Cancer Center often conflict with other events I would like to attend. As hard as I try, I just cannot be everywhere at once.
I regret I missed the Beaufort Symphony Orchestra's Side by Side, youth and regular orchestras, concert on Sunday which I am told was a fabulous event with a sell out audience.

Can you tell I love this place and the quality of life that continues to grow exponentially?
And, yes, I love my job and thank your for giving me the honor to serve.
My best to all!
