The Bad News is that the poster for the Spanish Moss Trail I posted last night did not have a "live link" making it easy to contribute on line.

The Good News is that a number of people -- who wanted to respond quickly by contributing on line -- wrote asking for the active link.

Since raising $750,000 locally will bring an additional $2 million to complete the first 11.5 miles, I feel a sense of urgency to make sure it is as easy as possible for people to contribute.  Rather than waiting until next week's newsletter, I wanted to "strike while the iron is hot."

To help match the challenge grant following the link:

Or . . .  if you would prefer, you can get up from your seat at the computer and follow this inspired, gracious and wonderful friend who is determined to deliver his contribution in a more healthy way.  Thanks to the hard work and generosity of a lot of people, we have this incredible new community asset. Let's do our part to move it forward.

Let's give a loud shout out to the Cox Family Foundation and The PATH Foundation (https://pathfoundation.org/) for committing another $2 million investment for the Spanish Moss Trail when our community raises a $750,000 challenge match.

I firmly believe that the SMT will be to the next generation what the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront is to our generation creating an even happier more healthy community.
