Community Medical Center Employees Donation Leads to New Member of Police K-9 Unit
Brutus, the newest member of the Toms River Police Department K-9 Unit, gratefully accepts a donation from the Community Medical Center employees that made his graduation from the Canine Training Academy possible.
The Toms River Police Department Canine Training Academy graduation had special meaning for the staff of Community Medical Center this year - one of the graduates received his diploma thanks to their generosity.
Employees at Community Medical Center embarked on 'Cash for a K-9,' a fundraising campaign, to help purchase a dog for the Toms River Police Department's K-9 Unit. The employees' efforts resulted in a $5,000 donation to the Toms River Police Department Foundation and culminated in Brutus' graduation. Brutus graduated with four other dogs in the seventh graduation class at the Canine Academy.
