Ron Humphrey and Rainshadow Connections

We have two new vendors joining us this week. Ron Humphrey and Rainshadow Connections offer beautiful and useful hand made wooden items made mostly from local materials. Cedar garden baskets, serving trays, cedar and alder grilling planks, frames and small boxes are just a few of the practical yet beautiful items Ron makes. Many of these items would make great gifts for Dad on Father's Day so stop by Ron's booth, say hello and check it out!

All you folks out there who eat a gluten free diet will love our new vendors Brandi and Jeremy Yeo of Love Birds Bakery and Humflower Farm and Foods. Brandi is the baker in the family and produces really delicious gluten free and vegan foods from bread to muffins and chocolate macaroons (which are to die for by the way). Eating gluten free can be a real challenge so you will want to see what Brandi has for you. Brandi's husband Jeremy is the farmer and will not only  be bringing produce but will also have his farm grown mushrooms! You will definitely want to welcome this fine young couple to the Market. Both of these new vendors can be found on the southeast side of the Gateway so don't forget to check out that side of the market for good things!

Summer, here we come! Nash's pea shoots on sale! $6.99/lb! (that's a dollar off per pound!) Pick up their recipe for sauteed pea shoots. Yum! Basil's coming on like gangbusters and strawberries too! By the pint or the flat!
They still have delicious green garlic, arugula, and spinach and will be bringing red leaf lettuce and possibly some red mizuna as well. Oh boy!

Christie has snap peas!! Just a few to start with. Also rhubarb, mache, artichokes, garlic scapes, Butter Ball potatoes, basil leaves, basil plants and of course, lots of lettuce!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Starting this Saturday we will offer credit and debit tokens in $1 and $20 denominations as well as our regular $5 and $10 tokens. We will also begin giving tokens as change when you purchase something with tokens instead of giving change in cash. Never fear! You can have cash back for change if you want it. Just tell your vendor you would prefer cash otherwise they will be giving you tokens to use as you continue your shopping at the Market.

Thom Davis returns this week to entertain us with his vocal stylings and some great guitar work. Bring your friends down to have a listen and enjoy some great local food. We'll be lookin' for you!

Last but not least; a bunch of us are going to be walking in the 4th of July parade this year and want to encourage all of you to come down and join us. Throw on those old "Farmer Johns" or that carrot costume you have in the back of your closet and join the party. Wouldn't it be great if we had 50 people showing up to promote the Market? Bring your friends and come on down. More details as they arrive.Yeah!
