Nash's Flours

Our friends at Nash's have a few more weeks of brussels sprouts and they are still as sweet as candy! Devon says look forward to kale raabs!! This tender sprout of the kale plant is great sauteed and stir fried or even braised like asparagus! Also this week Nash's is running a huge special on the cameo apples from Tonnemaker. 20lb box only $19.50! a 25% savings! Time to make some applesauce, apple butter or maybe even apple chutney. Check it out!

Clark Farms has quite a few new pork items this week.Stop by their booth and pick up some of their new sausages like Sage Breakfast, Sweet Italian, Bratwurst, or the new Breakfast sausage.  Kielbasa and German Style brats are available as well.  Want to slow cook some pork?  Try small meaty fresh pork shanks or perfectly sized pork butt that
will fit in your crock pot. They have it goin' on!

Our friend Kimberly of Kimberly's Candles and More returns this week with her great smelling candles, scented oils and
body products.  Welcome back Kimberly!

March is National Nutrition Month and starting the first Saturday in March (next week) we are going to have a monthly "sale" day. Participating vendors will put different items on sale that day highlighted by a sign on the item so it is easy to see. I will list any info they send me here in the newsletter so you have a heads up about what will be on sale. Sounds like a good idea to me! Who doesn't love a sale?

The Market needs your help! Senate Bill 5674 allowing wine and beer tasting at farmers markets is about to go before the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee for a vote. We really need this bill to pass so we can have beer and wine vendors come to the market with their locally made products. You can see who sits on this committee here. If you can email or call a few of these committee members (it's a big committee) to show your support for the bill it would go a long way toward it passing. Any help you can give is appreciated!

Just a reminder: We are now running a raffle each week as a fundraiser which involves you putting a business card and $1 in the raffle jar and at the end of the Market we will draw a card and the winner receives a $10 token for the Market. If you don't have a business card we have blank cards at the manager's booth. Our big winner last week was Billie Jo Meredith! Congrats Billie Jo!
