Our friends at Nash's have a few more weeks of brussels sprouts and they are still as sweet as candy! Devon says look forward to kale raabs!! March is National Nutrition Month and starting the first Saturday in March (next week) we are going to have a monthly "sale" day. Participating vendors will put different items on sale that day highlighted by a sign on the item so it is easy to see. I will list any info they send me here in the newsletter so you have a heads up about what will be on sale. Sounds like a good idea to me! Who doesn't love a sale?
The Market needs your help! Senate Bill 5674 allowing wine and beer tasting at farmers markets is about to go before the Senate Commerce and Labor Committee for a vote. We really need this bill to pass so we can have beer and wine vendors come to the market with their locally made products. You can see who sits on this committee
here. If you can email or call a few of these committee members (it's a big committee) to show your support for the bill it would go a long way toward it passing. Any help you can give is appreciated!
Just a reminder: We are now running a raffle each week as a fundraiser which involves you putting a business card and $1 in the raffle jar and at the end of the Market we will draw a card and the winner receives a $10 token for the Market.
