Strong accounting and finance foundation.  Leadership of divisions ranging from $20M to $140M with up to 14 domestic and international locations in the lumber, plywood, and paper pulp industries.  Focused on customers while concurrently reducing operating expenses through automation, inventory practices, rigorous financial metrics, and improved team motivation. CPA, MBA, and BS in Accounting and Economics.

  • Decreased inventory levels by $12M (41%) after implementing an automated inventory management system that instilled greater accountability.
  • Reduced operating expenses by $3M (13%) through an 80-person (30%) headcount reduction and the closure/consolidation of 4 branches.
  • Worked closely with corporate leadership to effect the turnaround of a $4M manufacturing division from annual losses to 97% ROCC.
Sales Director 

Background in leading district and regional management teams.  Relationship building approach and deep product knowledge in the building materials industry has led to customer loyalty and expanded sales programs.

  • Added $10M of new revenue in 2014 by adding new products to existing accounts.
  • Secured $350K in incremental revenue in 2010 by closing regional agreements with two of the top area builders after creating programs to meet their unique needs.
  • Kept revenue losses to 12% in 2008-09 during struggling market when new homes starts were down 47% and overall company revenue was off by 36%.
 
Regional Sales Manager

Multi-state sales territory with expertise in the Fenestration Industry.  Customer base includes direct in-home customer sales, creation of programs for national accounts and relationship development with distributors.  Adept at working independently.  Deep product knowledge has led to excellence in customer and staff training.

  • Grew territory sales 40% to $9.2M from 2010 - 2013.  
  • Ranked #1 at current company for options sales.
  • Increased sales by 30% and options sales by 40% for previous employer during 2004.
