Cedar Point's all-new GateKeeper wing roller coaster has changed the landscape of the world's best amusement park and has riders taking to the air like never before. The world record-breaking thrill ride debuted with the park's opening last weekend. On GateKeeper, coaster enthusiasts can experience the world's longest wing  coaster (4,164 feet), the world's fastest non-launched wing  coaster (67 mph), the tallest inversion on any roller coaster in the world (170 feet), the longest drop on a wing coaster in the world (165 feet), and the most inversions ever on a wing roller coaster (6). All this before getting much further than the front gate!

International Museum Day

Various locations in Erie County
Erie County museums join together to celebrate International Museum Day with free admission and family activities. Participating organizations include the Eleutheros Cooke House and Garden, the Follett House Museum, the Maritime Museum of Sandusky, the Underground Railroad Education Center, the Merry-Go-Round Museum, the Ohio Veterans Home Museum, Edison Birthplace, and the Milan Historical Museum.

Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival

The 3rd annual Main Street Port Clinton Walleye Festival includes an array of free live concerts, kids fishing derby, parade, educational programs and activities, carnival rides, and more than 130 vendors. The perfect summer kick-off!

Gibraltar Island Science & History Tour
June 5, 2013 and every Wednesday through July; 11 am-1 pm
Meet at The Boardwalk Restaurant Harbor Taxi Landing, 341 Bayview Ave., Put-in-Bay
Science and History tours take groups on a guided tour of Gibraltar Island, including Perry's Lookout, the glacial grooves, Stone Lab buildings, and the outside of Cooke Castle. The second hour will focus on Lake Erie research. Water taxi is $6/person round-trip and tour is $10/adult, $5/child (6-12 yrs).
