FLOWERS NEEDED FOR GRADUATION
Do you have glorious flowers in your garden? Would you be willing to donate some of them to our graduation? We are looking for long lasting blooms such as peonies and branch blossoms. Please email Laurie if you have any flowers you can spare! They should be brought to TGS either Wednesday afternoon, 6/15 or Thursday morning, 6/16.

ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Thank you to all the families who have given to this year's Annual Fund. Pictured here are the kindergartners and third graders enjoying ice cream, thanks to 100% parent participation to the Annual Fund in their classes.

SUMMER READING LISTS
It's been a wonderful year in the library. Thank you for your support encouraging your children to read, helping return library books, donating books, supporting the book fair and library birthday party, participating in the Reading Challenge, and volunteering your time in so many ways.

Suggested summer reading lists for those entering grades 2-8 in the fall can be found at  https://tgslibraryblog.wordpress.com/. If you need a paper copy, please let me know. Whenever you read a book you love, please email me. The best way to support reading is to read!
Thanks, Ponnie

CLASS PARENTS 2016-2017
We are in the process of organizing Class Parents for the upcoming school year. Class Parents are among the most important volunteers at The Grammar School as they provide valuable support for faculty, serve as a vital link between the classroom teacher and other families, and encourage other parents to participate in special activities throughout the year. Many TGS parents enjoy serving as class parents with their spouses or partners. If you are interested in this role or have questions about being a class parent, please contact Kimberly.

Registration forms for summer camp are now available online. This year there are two
weeks of full-day mountain bike camp and an after care option for Young Explorer. Sign up today!

HOST A SPANISH TEEN
Making your summer plans? Why not include a fabulous student from Spain in your family´s activities? We urgently need host families for several Spanish teens, ages 15-17, who will be in New England from June 25 to July 20, just 3 1/2 weeks. The students are all from the Basque region of Spain and are at an intermediate English level. Host families provide a warm and safe home environment for the student, as well as meals and transportation to a meeting spot on the days there are field trips (Boston and Six Flags - host families are invited to come along). It's fine for a student to share a room with a host sibling, and the students have their own spending money, medical insurance, and phone cards.

If your family could host for some or all of the period June 25 - July 20, please call Ann Newsmith at 802-257-4710 or email exchangeVT@gmail.com. Host families are also needed for exchange students who will be attending BUHS and other area schools this fall.
