GREETINGS FROM TGS
Production week is here! We are looking forward to the Peter Pan dress rehearsals and performances this Thursday through Sunday. Please join us!
Yesterday Kathy's 6th grade class visited the State House. This annual tradition is a highlight of the year and brings to life key elements of the curriculum. These trips have been particularly fun in recent years as TGS students have had the chance to visit with Governor Peter Shumlin, who as many know, is an esteemed alum of TGS. Yesterday Peter warmly welcomed Kathy and her class and spent some meaningful time answering questions and offering encouragement for our students.

TGS READING CHALLENGE
Wednesday, April13 - Wednesday, April 27
Our annual Reading Challenge begins next Wednesday, April 13. Be looking for the Reading Challenge packet that students should be bringing home this week. A letter to parents, calendar, student contract, adult contract, and bookmark are included. Please read the information carefully.
This is a noncompetitive reading challenge, where readers challenge themselves. For some, reading daily will be their challenge, while for others, their challenge will be to read longer each day. In order to successfully complete the challenge, participants must read and record their contracted number of minutes every day during the two week period. Join the fun by making this a family affair. For most students, parental support in creating a contract and recording the daily minutes is crucial. If you have any questions or need more materials, please call me at 802-387-5364 ext. 104, email, or visit the Library page.
Happy Reading, Ponnie
DRESS AS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER DAY
TGS will celebrate the first day of the Challenge, Wednesday, April 13, with a special day when all students, faculty, and staff come to school dressed as a favorite book character. The day will end with a special buddy activity during All School Meeting. Don't miss out on the fun!
For more information, visit the Library page. Thanks, Ponnie
