GREETINGS FROM TGS
We finished our final TGS ski day of the winter
on Tuesday, with students enjoying turns at Okemo and our classic final candy treasure hunt at Dusty Ridge. We've made the most of challenging snow conditions and are hopeful that the El Nino storm track has shifted enough to allow us more consistent skiing conditions for PSD for the remainder of the winter. Thank you for your supporting and participating in our ski programs!

Thank you to the many parents who were able to attend the various open sessions with the Head of School candidate last week. This week we will host another candidate and we look forward to seeing many of you for the upcoming open sessions. There will be no Head of School coffee on Thursday, due to the candidate visit.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday, February 15, due to the faculty inservice.

LIBRARY BIRTHDAY PARTY FEBRUARY 24
Save the date! The Library will celebrate its 56th birthday on Wednesday, February 24. The Library Birthday party is an annual event enjoyed by all. The entire school will meet in the library to celebrate reading, books, and our library with lively student entertainment and gift opening. And since it's a birthday party, we end with yummy cupcakes.
A letter and wish list will be sent home with students this week. A copy of the wish list can also be found at  http://www.villagesquarebooks.com/wishlist/5 . The Village Square Booksellers in Bellows Falls has a special display of books from the wish list, as well as some additional paperbacks. If you prefer, books may be ordered online from them and delivered to the library in time for the party.

Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or if you will be able to bake cupcakes. Your support is always greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Ponnie

PUTNEY FOOD SHELF CHALLENGE UPDATE
Sue Kochinskas came to speak to Student Council on Monday about how the Putney Food Shelf operates and who it serves. TGS plays an important role in supporting the Food Shelf, donating, on average, a week's worth of food each year. We are well on our way to meeting our goal of raising 500 lbs by February 16. Thank you for your continued support!

What We Do:
Play games as you adventure with mighty cool girls and women in the wilds of nature.
See through the eyes of the wild ones, letting your hands discover the feel of fresh green willow stems bending into baskets, the crackling warmth from a fire heating up a wild berry sauce, or the bark of a Hemlock tree as you reach for the next branch to climb.
