GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
The K-4 Winter Concert last night was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of fall term at TGS. This has been a rewarding first half of the year, filled with trips, activities, concerts, games, traditions, and so much more. I am confident the rest of the year will offer even more fun, with or without snow. Over the holiday vacation, I hope you all enjoy your time together and that our students come back ready for an action packed winter and spring at TGS. There are a number of important announcements and items in this Wednesday Notice that require your attention.

Have a safe, restful, and happy holiday season and we will see you in 2016.

Dan

SKI FORMS DUE!
Please bring your ski forms to Tammy now! We need to let Okemo know soon how many students will be in the program.

TGS SECRET SANTA FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18
Holiday fun and one of the longest running traditions at TGS!
Please remember that everyone is to bring in an item for the Putney Food Shelf, as well as a final gift for his or her Secret Santa. The food shelf items will be collected in homerooms, and the gifts should be taken to the library to be put in piles by homeroom of the recipients. For example, whoever has drawn an 8th grader should put his/her present near the sign that says 8th grade. This will help Santa's elves check to make sure all gifts are in. You are welcome to begin sending final presents in now, but please make sure the final gifts go to the library!
Thank you so much,
Laurie

FACULTY APPRECIATION LUNCHEON THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18
Hello everyone,
We are still in need of helping hands throughout the day, mostly from 2:00 until 3:00pm. We also still need a few food items (please see sign up sheet on the bulletin board outside Tammy's office).

DIRECTIONS for food items being dropped off:

1. Please drop off in IT room (directly to the right of the kitchen when entering from the auditorium).  I plan to clear off some table space and will leave a sign.

2. Please drop food prior to 11am.

3.  Please label your food and write reheating instructions for us to follow.

4. Write your name on anything you want returned to you (a sharpie on bottom works with items going in the oven).

5. Cleaned dishes, trays, pans, etc. will be placed on the stage, ready for pick up after the event.

Also, a few people have asked about having their kids stay to help. Although the offer of student assistance is always appreciated, this is truly a parent operated event.

Again, any questions or concerns, or if you need help getting to the sign up sheet, just email me directly.

Thank you!

TRUSTEES OPEN ADVISORY SESSION
Board of Trustees Open Advisory Session Friday, December 18 at 8:15am in the auditorium.

Community members: We will hold another open, informal advisory session with some members of the board of trustees on Friday, Dec. 18. We will meet right after drop off in the auditorium. As always, these sessions are designed to provide a time and space for questions about anything that relates to board operations, oversight of TGS, etc.  Hope to see you there.

Thank you,
Peter Eden
