GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
On Tuesday we ended our fall athletics season with a soccer game with Compass School. It was nice to end the season with a win! This afternoon we will host the TGS Invitational XC running meet, where all students from preschool through 8th grade have a chance to participate. I want to thank our fall coaches and students for a terrific season of spirited athletics. In November we will send a comprehensive communication about our TGS ski program, which begins in January.
Thursday, October 29 is conference day and we hope many of you will take this opportunity to connect with your teachers about your children's experience this year. Please call Tammy to schedule a conference if you haven't already.
There will be no school for students Thursday and Friday this week.
Enjoy the long weekend!
Dan

Please return all soccer jerseys and running singlets to Mary next week.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE EVENING NOVEMBER 12
Foreign Language Evening is back! Come and be entertained by an evening of student made movies on Thursday, November 12. Grades 4-8 will perform, but all grades are welcome!
Performance time is 6:30 - 8:00pm in the theater space. Students should be at the Lower School at 6:15pm.
Do you love comics? Do Snoopy, Zits, or Calvin and Hobbes tickle your funny bone? Have you enjoyed the adventures of Superman and Wonderwoman? Ever wonder what comic strips people in other countries read?
This year, students of Spanish and French will treat you to a glimpse of the world of comic strips in the French and Spanish speaking worlds!
A small after dinner treat from France and Spain will be served. Parents, please be sure children have eaten before the event.
MEDIEVAL FAIRE THANK YOU
Thank you to everyone who responded to the email invitation to provide feedback about this year's Faire. Thank you also for all your expressions of gratitude to us as the coordinators. The Faire is indeed a labor of love and we recognize that many, many people contribute to its success.
We have discussed the survey results during our debrief meeting with the school and preparations for next year's Faire are more or less underway now! At this point in the year we are reviewing both the process of organizing the Faire, as well as the content of it. We are also brainstorming ideas for invited guests (jousters, birds of prey, puppets, etc.). Coordinating the Faire is a significant commitment of time AND if anyone else would like to join this team you are certainly welcome! Please let any of us know if you have questions and/or an interest in doing so! Thank you, Jennifer Jacobs Melanie KentJen Robb
