GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
This weekend TGS welcomed over 1,500 people to campus for the Medieval Faire. This record number of visitors enjoyed a magical day filled with wonder, fun, and play. This unique event is a defining aspect of the school's culture and would not be possible without the community of volunteers that pull together each year to make this day happen. Each year I am amazed at the strength and passion that our parent volunteers bring to produce the Faire. TGS simply could not have this special day without our amazing parents. Please accept our most sincere thanks for all you do! While it would be impossible to name each significant contributor to the Faire, I want to recognize the herculean efforts of Melanie Kent, Jennifer Jacobs, and Jen Robb, all of whom dedicated countless hours to perfect each detail of the day. Thank you all!
Starting on Monday, TGS aftercare will be run by Elia Gilbert, an early childhood teacher who has been hired to lead this new TGS program. There are still some spaces available, so please let Tammy know if you are interested in this after school option for your child. I hope to see many of you on the Putney Mountain hike and lunch today. This afternoon many of us will head to another annual tradition, the Green Mountain Orchards Fun Run. Everyone is welcome to run, and the orchard will have cider, cider donuts, and apples for sale during and after the race.
I want to also thank Ponnie for her efforts with the annual TGS Book Faire. I enjoyed visiting the Library this week and seeing the many reading options she presented for our community. Thank you, Ponnie!
LIBRARY BOOK FAIR CONTINUES
