GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

We are excited to announce that the TGS Spring Event will be held on April 10, 2015 at Green Mountain Orchards. Please save the date for this fun filled evening. You can expect full details of the evening to be shared very soon!

On Tuesday, February 25 we will host another Head of School Coffee in the Library at 8:30am. II hope to see many of you there!

Next week is the Library Birthday Party and we are all very excited for this year's iteration of this important celebration of our Library and our love of reading at TGS!

Thank you for your flexibility with our snow days and delays in the previous weeks. Winter is here in full force and while we are taking advantage of the excellent snow pack for our ski program and preschool penguin slides, it does mean we occasionally have to adjust our schedule for road safety concerns.

Please note: The 7th-8th Science Fair has been moved to February 27. We will keep you posted about the schedule for the Fair.

Enjoy the snow,

Dan

Second graders are collecting non-perishable food, diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other items necessary for health. The pantry is bare and the need is great. Please contribute! Baskets for donations are located outside the main office and the second grade room.

Thank you.

55TH LIBRARY BIRTHDAY PARTY WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11!

Next week the Library will celebrate its 55th birthday with a fun party. The entire school will fill the library to celebrate reading, books, and our library with lively entertainment and gift opening. And since it's a birthday party, we end with yummy cupcakes.

For a copy of the library wish list, please go to the Library Page or pick one up in the library. Books may be ordered online from Village Square Booksellers, local and independent, at  http://www.villagesquarebooks.com/wishlist/5 .

If you would be willing to bake cupcakes for the celebration, please let me know.  We will need about nine dozen, so far Ann-Michelle, Erika, and Emily have volunteered.

Please contact me with any questions, concerns, or if you will be able to bake cupcakes. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ponnie
