THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL SPECIAL TUESDAY NOTICE

November 25, 2014

GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Each year we decorate the bulletin board outside of Tammy's office with beautiful black and white photos of our students, in pairs of classmates, siblings, and friends. The photo collage is up as of today and I hope you'll take a moment to find your child and familiarize yourself with these captured images of our incredible student body. When you scan the collage of photos, it's impossible not to marvel at the various students we have, from preschoolers to young adults, and to be moved by the journey that students at TGS embark on during their tenure here. I'll glance at this board every day until it is replaced in the spring with a photo retrospective of the graduates in a final testimonial to their growth and accomplishments as TGS students.

In this season of thanks, I am thankful to be here, with our wonderful kids, our supportive families, and our exceptional faculty, on this journey together.

Happy Thanksgiving, travel safely, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday.

HOST FAMILIES NEEDED FOR MEXICAN EXCHANGE STUDENT

Might your family consider hosting a 16-year old exchange student from Mexico who is attending BUHS this year through PAX, the Program of Academic Exchange? Mariano is a dynamic and compassionate boy and an excellent student. He likes sports (soccer, volleyball), music (singing, playing the guitar), and outdoor activities such as fishing and camping. Mariano is responsible, outgoing, and appreciative...he is an outstanding young man.

Mariano is currently in a welcome family without children and is eager to be in a younger, more lively environment. Host families do not need a separate bedroom, as long as you can provide a bed in a room with a host sibling and a place to study. They have spending money of their own for personal expenses and separate medical insurance. To learn more, contact Ann Newsmith at 802-257-4710exchangevt@gmail.com.
