THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL WEDNESDAY NOTICE

November 5, 2014

GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
We hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and are adjusting to the time change. It was so nice to see many of you during conference day last week, and I encourage continued dialogue with your children's teachers as the year progresses to keep the lines of communication open. A true highlight of each week is our all school meeting (ASM). I know I've referenced the importance of ASM in previous notes, but I can't overemphasize the value of this time for the community to be together, and I want to reiterate the open invitation for parents have to attend. Today we continued our exploration of South Africa with a presentation led by Kathy about She Wins, an incredible program to empower young women in Memel South Africa through sports. We  will continue our GET theme this week with more buddy activities as we delve further into this meaningful program.

STEAM has begun! If you have any questions about this program or wish to sign up, please be sure to contact Jen Robb. Our second session begins the week of January 5, 2015 and will have even more program offerings.

Thank you,
Dan
