GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
Welcome to the first Wednesday Notice for the 2014-2015 school year at TGS! The Wednesday Notice is our weekly letter to highlight upcoming events, share messages of community interest, and celebrate our students and community at large. You can expect to receive this before pick up each Wednesday every week that the school is in session, and we hope that you find it a good way to be aware of the many things happening on campus and beyond. Within the Wednesday Notice you will find useful dates in the Calendar section, including a link to our website calendar, which is the best place to confirm dates and times for upcoming events. If you have something to submit to the Notice, please send it to Mary Heller Osgood by Tuesday morning.
While you can expect a weekly update though the Wednesday Notice, we regularly post about what's happening at TGS on our Facebook page and Twitter feed. If you haven't already, we hope you will engage with us on Facebook and Twitter by liking and sharing our many videos and photos.
Today has been an exceptional first day of school at TGS! We all are so pleased to welcome our students back to campus and to embrace those who are beginning the first day of their TGS experience. I was lucky enough to make it around to each classroom today, and was pleased to hear so many active group conversations on topics like summer sharing, mindfulness, and what students hope to accomplish this year. I know I speak for the entire faculty when I say that that we all feel fortunate that you have chosen to share your children with us. Here's to a great year full of learning, friendships, and new adventures!

ACCEPTABLE USE AGREEMENTS
Please return signed Acceptable Use Agreements to homeroom teachers by Friday, Sept. 5.
After school fall sports begin next week at TGS! Please contact Mary if your child would like to participate in XC running and/or soccer this fall. There is a $25 fee/student, payable to TGS.
We still need soccer coaches for the 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-8th teams this fall, from the week of September 8 through October (7- 8 weeks). Please email Mary if you are interested in coaching a team at TGS, or if you know someone who might be available to coach.
Coaches receive a small stipend.

K-1-2: Mondays from 3:10-4:00pm (Coach Katherine Frey '04)
3-4: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:10-4:30pm
5-6: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:10-4:30pm
7-8: Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:10-4:30pm
