GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
It is hard to believe that there are only two weeks left before graduation. There are still many field trips and class events and projects, and the campus feels as alive as ever. The eighth grade is practicing the graduation ceremony regularly, the yearbook is going to print soon, and the annual eighth grade photo collage has begun to take shape outside of the front office. It's fun to scan the pictures of these students' journey through TGS, and even more fun to see the eighth graders and other students marvel at the history and transformations displayed for all to enjoy. We will miss this group of students next year and are excited for all they will accomplish.
By now you should have all received a parent survey link via email. Thank you in advance for filling out this important tool; we value your feedback on your experience at TGS.
Sincerely,
Dan Marchetti
Head of School

FINAL WEEK OF SPRING SPORTS

STROLLING OF THE HEIFERS PARADE JUNE 7 TGS will again march in the SOTH parade on Saturday, June 7th. All students and parents are welcome, but if you think you are coming let our parent coordinator, Michael Hornsby, know so we have a rough estimate. No float this year...walking only. We will be lining up in the Church parking lot on Flat Street. This is the parking lot in-between the Youth Theatre and the Brattleboro Town parking lot, where Flatter-me-Hair is located. Please be there no later than 9:30am - the parade starts at 10:00 sharp. We will be at the finish at the Retreat gates between 10:45 and 11.
Please wear a TGS T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses, kids and adults! Our theme will be "Our future's so bright we have to wear shades!" Keep an eye on the weather - we march rain or shine. Questions? mhornsby@brimstoneconsulting.com.
MUSICAL DVDS
Millie DVDs by videographer Pedr Seymour will be available very soon. Please email Alli with orders and remember to specify Cast A or Cast B. $25 check, payable to TGS, should be delivered to Alli or her faculty mailbox.
SSAT PREP CLASS We have the opportunity to offer an SSAT prep class, led by Shelley Dresser of Eaglebrook School, sometime during the last two weeks of June. The 3-day intensive class is designed to familiarize students with the SSAT and teach them test-taking strategies. Students also receive an analysis of their practice test results and an individualized study program to work on over the summer. A follow-up review class would be held closer to the test date. Please email Jen Robb if you're interested in having your child attend. More info about specific dates and cost to follow.
SPEECH THERAPIST
Sarah Shine, CCC-SLP, will be coming to TGS two days/week to provide speech therapy for the 2014-2015 school year. Payment is through self pay or can be billed to your health insurance. If you would like your child to be seen during her visits, please email her at sarah@shinespeechtherapy.com, or she can be reached at (802) 258-7115. Please contact her promptly to reserve a slot.

During the month of May, Hop's seventh graders will be collecting non-perishable foods and toiletries (soap, toothpaste, packets of diapers, etc.) for the Putney Food Shelf. Putney Family Services values TGS's consistent support of the Foodshelf. We encourage you to give in "6"s (six boxes of mac 'n' cheese, six cans of corn, six of whatever!) that would help support PFS's Family Food Bag program. Baskets will be located in the Upper School and outside the main office. Donations can also be brought in to your child's homeroom teacher. Let's make a difference in the lives of others this month! Thank you! CLIP 'EM OR RIP 'EM
We will be collecting box tops until the end of the school year. Please put your box tops in the bin by the front door to earn money for the school! And remember to shop online at boxtopsforeducation.com/marketplace to earn money for TGS while you shop online. Thank you!
