THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL WEDNESDAY NOTICE

   November 13, 2013

GREETINGS FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
I am pleased to report that the Strategic Plan Committee met recently and that we are making excellent progress in our work to create an aspirational and realistic STP. We are on track to have the plan ready for approval for the January meeting of the Board of Trustees. I have been very impressed with the input from our caring community members, and the dedication of the Committee to ensure that this is a plan that encompasses our varied and important needs as we look to maintain traditions and simultaneously strengthen TGS. This process has been collaborative and transparent since the beginning last spring. From our opening community SWOT analysis, to survey feedback opportunities, to parent coffees, there have been many opportunities to hear everyone's input as we build this plan. We will distribute another draft shortly for community feedback. I look forward to sharing the dates of these final steps soon, and welcome all additional feedback, as we all collaborate to build the best plan for TGS.

Two important memos have come out in the past week. One on our new school delay policy, and one on TGS's approach to school safety. Both of these are important to read and review and are archived on my blog if you are interested in reviewing them.

Sincerely,

Dan
