Ultimate Scavenger Hunt on November 9!

Mark your calendars for the ultimate scavenger hunt throughout Charlotte on November 9th!  Communities In Schools of Charlotte- Mecklenburg will be the beneficiary of the first ever Charlotte CitySolve event. With a lot of brain and a little brawn, you will have the opportunity to solve clues, explore your city and win prizes - First place will receive a cash prize of $300 dollars! There's also a costume contest and a prize for the best tweet!  More than a scavenger hunt, but less physical than a 5K-road race, this unique hybrid combines trivia - from pop culture to world history - with a team-oriented adventure. Add in the occasional checkpoint challenge (think Double Dare without the slime) and you've got CitySolve Urban Race!  Best of all:  if you register at this link and use the promotional code "schools", then 20% of your registration fee will go to CIS!  So get your team together and we will see you on November 9th! Meet Anna Purdie - West Charlotte Class of 2013
Anna Purdie_West Charlotte 2013

Standing nearly 6-feet-tall, it's no surprise Anna Purdie played center for West Charlotte's women's basketball team. Look at her resume, however, and you'll see she also played a central role within her school off the court. In addition to taking AP classes, Anna's extra-curricular activities ranged from the National Honor Society and Beta Club, to the service-based Key Club, to leadership positions on the Student Council, Yearbook Staff and Pep Squad. The list goes on.  Read More
