Dakotas Annual Conference 2013 will be held in Bismarck

 

The Dakotas Annual Conference will be in session June 5-8, 2013 

at the Ramkota Inn in Bismarck, N.D. Hotels in Bismarck fill up often so make your room reservations now. There have been several blocks of hotel rooms reserved at the Bismarck hotels.

It's October and 10-Fold, an annual interactive global gathering that features United Methodist projects around the world supported by Global Ministries and UMCOR, has returned. This year 10-Fold features five projects, each highlighted for a full week.

"Nones" on the Rise  

 

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) - A recent Pew survey showing a dip in the number of U.S. Protestants and a rise in the number of religiously affiliated offers some disheartening news for United Methodists. One finding: 88 percent of those answering "None" on the religion question also say that they are not "looking for a religion that would be right for" them.

Stepping Forward with Faith in Zap

Zap, N.D. -- The Beulah / Hazen United Methodist Church conducts a food pantry. A gentleman from Zap, who comes to the food pantry in conducted by Beulah / Hazen UMC shared that there roof leaked and that his wife who has difficulty walking stairs. He was in need of having a ramp installed to the entrance of their house in Zap, N.D.

Confirmation Camp West:  November 2-3 at Storm Mountain

Get registered and come on out for a great retreat in the beautiful Black Hills!!  We will focus on prayer and the Wesley quadrilateral.  We will also spend several sessions making stoles that you can use on Confirmation Sunday with your Youth!! 

Please let  John Britt
know how many you are bringing by October 18 so that stoles can be ordered for your Youth. 

Camp will begin at 7 pm on Friday and end at 3 pm on Saturday.  E-mail John with any questions!!!

  • A time of retreat and relaxation for you as you serve in one of the hardest and one of the most essential ministries in the church. And yet, despite this, one of the most rewarding!
  • A time to join together in building a community of youthworkers who share their experience; blessings and struggles in the hope of establishing a stronger connection between youthworkers as well as youth in the Dakotas Conference.
  • Please join us for a time of retreat and focused conversation.
