The Dakotas Annual Conference will be in session June 5-8, 2013 

at the Ramkota Inn in Bismarck, N.D. Hotels in Bismarck fill up often so make your room reservations now. There have been several blocks of hotel rooms reserved at the Bismarck hotels.

Bismarck and Fargo, N.D. -- Methodists across North Dakota gathered in Bismarck and Fargo, N.D. to welcome Bishop Bruce R. Ough.   Installation and welcoming events were held at Bismarck McCabe United Methodist Church on October 6, 2012 and Fargo First United Methodist Church on October 7, 2012.

Walk With Wholeness: Dakotas Conference United Methodist Women Meet

 

United Methodist Women across the Daktoas Conference met at St. Paul's UMC in Jamestown, N.D. October 5-6, 20
Jamestown, N.D. -- Over 100 women gathered at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Jamestown, N.D. on October 5-6, 2012.   "Walk With Wholeness Through Peace, Prayer, Study and Service" was the theme of the two day conference.

An Introduction to Walk to Emmaus, The Upper Room
WALK TO EMMAUS 

Canton, S.D. - Twenty-three women took part in the Dakotas Women's Walk to Emmaus at Inspiration Hills near Canton, S.D., October 5-7, 2012.

 

Walk to Emmaus No. 46 was led by Spiritual Director, Rev. Dr. Mary Ann Sheldon and Lay Director, Peggy Hora. There were many Agape volunteers that help to plan and implement the event.

 

The Men's Walk to Emmaus will be held March 7-10, 2013 and the next Women's Walk to Emmaus will be March 14-17, 2013 both at Inspiration Hills.

 Report: Church's path is 'unsustainable'

 

   

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (UMNS) - The United Methodist Church's way of doing business remains "unsustainable," and the changes made during and after the 2012 General Conference are insufficient to address the challenges the denomination faces. That's the assessment of the final report of the Call to Action Interim Operations Team, which since its formation in late 2010 has been looking at ways to reorder the life of the church.
