Every Women has Gifts:
An Interview with Dr. Gloria Bachmann
Interview by Fariha Siddiqui, IWL Leadership Scholar and RU Graduate, Class of 2012
As an IWL Leadership Scholar, Fariha Siddiqui, interviewed Dr. Gloria Bachmann, Director, Women's Health Institute, UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and Interim Chair, OB/GYN Department, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
Fariha's interview is now a documentary film available as part of the IWL Transforming Lives Project. Check out this powerful portrait of a dedicated and award-winning doctor.
As part of her filmmaker's statement, Fariha writes:
"The best part about the interview experience was meeting someone who tells you, 'You can do it.' When you hear encouragement from someone like Dr. Bachmann who created the path you want to follow, you have this energy. The spark that was dying becomes a firework. . .What I learned from Dr. Bachmann is to always have optimism, never sell yourself short."
BREAKING NEWS: Fariha Siddiqui has just been accepted to the University of Central Florida's College of Medicine. Congratulations, Fariha, keep that fire burning!
