CALL FOR ARTISTS OF ALL DISCIPLINES: ARTIST RESIDENCY OPPORTUNITY IN ORIENT, NY The William Steeple Davis Trust of Orient, Long Island is now accepting applications for an artist-in-residence for the period of October 15, 2016 - October 1, 2017. Past residents' endeavors have included painting, photography, writing, sculpting, poetry and music. The Davis house and studio are located in Orient, on the eastern end of the North Fork of Long Island, NY, approximately 100 miles from New York City. The house and studio are in a quiet location within sight of Orient Harbor, and walking distance of public beaches, open fields and marshes, a post office and a small country store. Residence in the house would be possible without a car, but quite inconvenient. Due to the limitations of the small historic house, children and pets cannot be accommodated.
