Vital A Tea Room & Gallery Presents
Katherine Liepe-Levinson Solo Show: Earth/Water Series
Fine Art Photography, Precious Natural Resources
Katherine Liepe-Levinson's Earth/Water Series is at once mysterious and sublime. Her shimmering, almost otherworldly waterscapes, make one pause, look a little longer, and ponder more deeply on the infinite beauty of our natural world. She captures vibrant and unusual colors and patterns of water, wind, and reflections through fast shutter speeds and impeccable framing. Liepe-Levinson plays with the line between the abstract and the recognizable, anchoring her viewers nominally in reality as the ripples of her images visually rock us to and fro. Looking at her work, there is always more to see. On view through October 15.

The signal replaces 103.3 FM and can be heard from Riverhead to Montauk, and from Mattituck to Shelter Island. Kate Remington, WSHU's Music Director and host of Morning Classical, received a degree in piano performance and mass communication from the University of Wisconsin. Before joining WSHU, she honed her considerable skills as a music announcer at Wisconsin Public Radio, the Beethoven Satellite Network, and Vermont Public Radio.
