ArtRemsenburg presents
Esly E. Escobar: Welcome to the Jungle
Opening Reception
7 - 10 PM
At the Remsenburg Academy
ArtRemsenburg's Emerging Artist of 2015, Esly E. Escobar is a self-taught artist who wants to be a positive influence in the world. He paints Jackson Pollock-style by dripping and dropping paint onto canvas and object. Then he super-imposes graffiti-like line drawings of characters onto the dry work. This process creates fascinating, whimsical and surprising works that never fail to delight. "I came to this world to build, I love to create. Putting colors together is like preparing a delicious meal from a secret basket" says Esly in describing his work. Exhibition dates are August 28 - September 8, 2015. Hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11 AM - 5 PM.
The Remsenburg Academy, 130 South Country Road, Remsenburg NY
Now through September 30
Marshall Crossman: Water's Edge and Pieter Greeff: Faces of the Sea
At Quogue Gallery
Quogue Gallery presents two concurrent exhibits of paintings: Marshall Crossman: "Water's Edge" and Pieter Greeff: "Faces of the Sea." Crossman is a California-based contemporary artist who is primarily a studio painter working in oil. Peter Greeff is a lifelong resident of Quogue whose paintings embody the east end of Long Island - its light, marine scenes and beach life. Barbara Bilotta & Anna Franklin present
"To Each Her Own"
Opening Reception
4 - 7 PM
At Ashawagh Hall, East Hampton
Barbara Bilotta and Anna Franklin are both members of The White Room Gallery in Bridgehampton and share many other art affiliations together as well as a friendship and a respect for each other artistic vision. Being fundamentally different in art, Barbara is an abstract expressionist and Anna, although eclectic, basically a landscaper, they decided to come together in this 2-woman show at Ashawagh, titled, correctly, "To each her own". This exhibition will showcase an in-depth display of their artistic talent. They are both talented artists selected in many juried and invitation-only shows with extensive experience in exhibiting all over the East End, New York City, state, and out of state. They are looking forward to seeing friends and patrons on their reception night which will provide generous food and wine as well as the music of a roving violist! Exhibition dates are September 2 - 4, 2015. Gallery hours are 12 - 7 PM.
Ashawagh Hall, 780 Springs Fireplace Road, East Hampton NY
Saturday, September 5
"Calm Before the Storm"

At Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery, Cutchogue
Correction: Blue Abstraction exhibit scheduled for August 15 has been cancelled. Next up: "Calm Before the Storm" featuring powerful works by two East End artists, Christine Matthäi and Dalton Portella. Matthäi is featuring abstract visual meditations of serene water images inspired by the extraordinary light conditions of the sea, sky and waters of the East End. Portella is exhibiting a modern take on classic maritime art with his powerful Storm images that stunningly capture the strength of nature and the fury of the sea. Opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 5 from 6 - 8 PM with wine and hors d'oeuvres. Gallery Talk with Christine Matthäi and Dalton Portella on Sunday, September 20 from 1 - 3 PM. Lunch included; reservations required. Exhibit runs through September 27. Save the Date: Saturday, October 3: Globetrotting opening reception.
