Preparatory rehearsals will be held at EEA School in Riverhead on Mondays, July 13, 20, 27, 4 - 6 PM, followed by a mandatory full rehearsal on Wednesday, July 29, 4 - 6 PM. This year's open rehearsal under the baton of Maestro Itzhak Perlman will be held on Thursday, July 30 at a local venue to be announced.

Winners of Remsenburg Photography Contests return to the Remsenburg Academy walls this year to show more of their work along with other outstanding photographers selected for this show. The eye of the artist/photographer portrays the natural world and its inhabitants all over the world. An Opening Reception will be held Friday June 26, 5 - 8 PM. At the Blue Duck Bakery Café, Riverhead

"POETRY STREET...where every voice is heard!" welcomes writers of all ages to the Blue Duck Bakery Café for this series of "Open Mics", the spoken word project of Susan Dingle for the East End Arts' JumpstART program. The "Open Mics" are hosted by Susan Dingle and Robert "Bubbie" Brown; poets, community advocates, social workers and educators committed to honoring the creativity of all people. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 PM; the first 15 writers to sign-up have 3 minutes to perform original work. $5 fee for poets and audience members. EEA's JumpstART program is an innovative public arts collaboration to bring vitality to Downtown Riverhead through partnerships between artists and businesses. The Poetry Street program will continue on the fourth Sunday of every month at the Blue Duck Bakery Café in Riverhead. CALL FOR ARTISTS: NEW YORK-QUEBEC ARTIST IN RESIDENCE EXCHANGE PROGRAM The New York State Council on the Arts in partnership with the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec (CALQ) has launched a second iteration of the NY-Quebec Artist in Residence Exchange program. Three individuals from New York State will be chosen as artists in residence in the Province of Québec for residencies that will commence in the late summer. The residency opportunity comes with a stipend of $9,000. The goal is to offer New York State artists a new career development tool and develop fruitful collaboration with Québec cultural communities, as well as give venues and communities in New York State the opportunity to learn from and be enriched by the Québecois artists in residence here. Three Québecois artists will also have the same opportunity to come to venues in New York State. Deadline to apply is Friday, June 26, 2015 at 12:00 PM noon. OPEN CALL TO ALL ARTISTS: ZINES SUBMISSIONS FOR ILLE ARTS ZINE FESTIVAL ILLE Arts in Amagansett, NY is pleased to announce it's first Zine show, August 22 and 23, 2015. Accepted submissions will be notified via email the third week of July. Zines should be self published and not exceed $20 retail price. Editions of 50 or less. Artists' participation and presence is not required. The gallery assumes responsibility for displaying and selling zines to the public. All sales proceedings will be forwarded to the artists. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: DAN'S PAPERS ANNUAL LITERARY PRIZE Dan's Papers is now accepting submissions for their annual $6,000 Literary Prize for Nonfiction and are excited to launch an additional $4,000 Emerging Young Writers Prize for Nonfiction this year! The entries must be nonfiction works between 600-1500 words and meaningfully reference the East End. Writers 25 and younger are eligible to vie for the Emerging Young Writers Prize. SEEKING TEACHING ARTISTS APPLICATIONS  
The Community Library Friends of the Arts, Inc. is seeking applications from artists of all disciplines interested in teaching classes to adults at the community library in Shirley. They are interested in unique proposals for multi-session classes which actively engage adults with no prior art experience in the creative process. Compensation: $35-$45 hour depending on proposal. Teaching artists are hired on a project basis as private contractors. CALL FOR SCULPTURE ENTRIES
The Brookhaven Arts and Humanities Council along with The Bellport Chamber of Commerce and Bellport Village are accepting submissions for from sculptors for an outdoor sculpture to be permanently installed in the Village of Bellport. Artists must be 18 years of age or older. Work must be: original, three-dimensional, suitable for outdoor installation and able to be structurally secured to a concrete pad, capable of withstanding adverse weather conditions and high traffic areas and safe for children, suitable for family viewing. Works deemed unsafe, overly fragile, or otherwise unsuitable will not be considered for the exhibition. No work can exceed 15 feet in height or weigh more than 500 pounds, due to the limitations of the equipment available to Art in Public Places for installation of the sculptures.
