Winners of Remsenburg Photography Contests return to the Remsenburg Academy walls this year to show more of their work along with other outstanding photographers selected for this show. The eye of the artist/photographer portrays the natural world and its inhabitants all over the world. An Opening Reception will be held Friday June 26, 5 - 8 PM. After June 26, hours are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 11 AM - 3 PM.

Opening Reception will be held Saturday, June 27 from 6 - 8 PM with Lenz Wines and hors d'oeuvres. Works by Karen Bell and Ennid Berger. Bell is exhibiting natural curiosities photographed in the woods and printed on airy layers of vellum over paper. Ms. Berger is featuring luminous images of botanical subjects created through the photogram process. Translucent Gallery Talk will be held on Sunday, July 12 from 1 - 3 PM. "POETRY STREET...where every voice is heard!" welcomes writers of all ages to the Blue Duck Bakery Café for this series of "Open Mics", the spoken word project of Susan Dingle for the East End Arts' JumpstART program. The "Open Mics" are hosted by Susan Dingle and Robert "Bubbie" Brown; poets, community advocates, social workers and educators committed to honoring the creativity of all people. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 PM; the first 15 writers to sign-up have 3 minutes to perform original work. $5 fee for poets and audience members. EEA's JumpstART program is an innovative public arts collaboration to bring vitality to Downtown Riverhead through partnerships between artists and businesses. The Poetry Street program will continue on the fourth Sunday of every month at the Blue Duck Bakery Café in Riverhead. BEST OF 30 SQUARED (daily painters) Art Show

18 diverse artists display and sell their best new works, many from the recent challenge to each "paint 30 paintings in 30 days!" Family and handicapped friendly. A reception will be held on June 20, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The walls overflow with paintings from beach, to landscape, people, dogs, fish, flowers and fruit, urban and country, real and abstract, tiny to large framed. Part of the proceeds benefit the Museum.
