Julia V. Goldman is a scenic artist, exhibit builder, muralist and fine artist, with over twenty-five years professional experience in the field. She has made a career of making the artificial seem real. She will demonstrate and discuss some of the hows and whys of painting, sculptural techniques, effects and illusions used in the creation of movie magic. How does Styrofoam become wooden logs or light wood become heavy bars of steel? In workshops, students will participate in creating imitation brick walls, rotten logs and boulders out of Styrofoam that can be tossed in the air!
