Star violinist Michelle Ross returns to the Clark Arts Center for a thrilling recital of masterworks for the violin. Hailed as a "Renaissance Woman" and trained with Itzhak Perlman for over a decade, violinist and composer Michelle Ross is unique as both a solo artist and collaborative visionary. Michelle is the recipient of the 2012 Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing and Visual Arts. Includes a "Meet the Artist" reception. Tickets: $25 Adults, FREE for 18 and under. Art Remsenburg is pleased to feature this bonus event, when the art collective known as the New Forms Group comes to the Remsenburg Academy. Featuring paintings, pottery, jewelry, wood sculpture, photography and fiber art, the Group offers many opportunities for holiday and other types of gift shopping. Or feel free to come just to take in the creativity and high level of workmanship represented by the member artisans, who include C. C. Bookout, Joanne Dimas, Gina Gilmour, Sarah McNamara, Will Paulson, and Alice Van De Wetering. The show will be open on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, and on Sunday, 11 AM to 4 PM.

"POETRY STREET...where every voice is heard!" welcomes writers of all ages to the Blue Duck Bakery Café for this series of "Open Mics", the spoken word project of Susan Dingle for the East End Arts' JumpstART program. The "Open Mics" are hosted by Susan Dingle and Robert "Bubbie" Brown; poets, community advocates, social workers and educators committed to honoring the creativity of all people. Poets, comedians and storytellers are invited to sign up at 1:30 PM; the first 15 writers to sign-up have 3 minutes to perform original work. $5 fee for poets and audience members. EEA's JumpstART program is an innovative public arts collaboration to bring vitality to Downtown Riverhead through partnerships between artists and businesses. The Poetry Street program will continue on the fourth Sunday of every month at the Blue Duck Bakery Café in Riverhead: also on December 28, and beyond.
