Professional guitarist Steve Salerno, 2014 Music Masters Fellowship Program Mentor

Student musicians and vocalists (ages 14-18) with an interest in jazz and a passion for music are encouraged to apply for this rigorous workshop opportunity for all instruments and vocal ranges. There are no fees for participation in the Music Masters Fellowship Program. This full scholarship, tuition-free fellowship program allows select students to participate in an ensemble of talent, under the guidance of a music industry professional.

The program workshop rehearsals will take place on Monday evenings from September 29 through December 1, 2014 at the East End Arts School in Riverhead; with a final performance on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Riverhead.

HOW TO APPLY:  

The Music Masters Fellowship Program for the Fall of 2014 will be mentored by professional guitarist Steve Salerno, an active performer of both jazz and classical music. He has performed across the globe with many of today's top musicians. The selected students will have the incredible opportunity to work under the tutelage of this professional, and will be given training in professional rehearsal and performance skills, alongside like-minded music students from across the region. The goal is to foster the student musicians' work ethic and build an individual and collective confidence among the students.
