Who is Charlene Lanzel?

Charlene Lanzel is a performance artist from New York City who uses her hands in the sand to create amazing sand art. Her art is a fluid, live performance using just sand, a lightbox and a projector. An artist all her life, Charlene began creating sand art in 2010, and has since performed in: Hong Kong, Montreal, Las Vegas & New Orleans. She performed for the Doodle For Google Awards in 2012 and has also done a performance at Cirque du Soleil's Zarkana Premiere Party at Roseland in NYC. Charlene's sand animations are beautiful to look at, but last only in the moment. Her sand art makes life and time flow by, right in front of your eyes. The powerful impact is indescribable. The story comes alive in this unique art expression.
