Opening Reception

Art Show featuring Artist Ine Wijtvliet:

"Life, Living and Reliving"

2:30 - 4:30 PM

At the Art Gallery at the Quogue Library

The Art Gallery at the Quogue Library is pleased to present artist Ine Wijtvliet for an exhibit titled "Life, Living and Reliving". The exhibit will be on display from April 1 through 29, 2014. The artist Ine Jacqueline Wijtvliet is a native of the Netherlands. Four years after graduating with honors from the Royal Academy of Art, in Breda, the Netherlands (1965), Ine was recruited by Massimo Vignelli in New York. Soon after, Ine was appointed Director of Graphic Design for George Nelson & Company. Her many successes inspired Ine to open her own Manhattan graphic design office in 1976, naming it Whitefleet Design Inc, using the phonetic spelling. Her recent transition to painter has been an exciting challenge for Ine. Movement, color, and action exemplify her work. The dynamic expression in brushstroke and size of canvas comes from her inexhaustible vitality. This energy is drawn from her lifelong passion and devotion to sports. Some of her recent paintings were inspired by the devastations of the storm "SANDY". Other works shown ranges from classical life drawings to more abstract colorful renderings. For more information, contact Ms. Wijtvliet directly at 212-319 4444 or email whitefleet@rcn.com. For more information about the Art Gallery, visit www.quoguelibrary.org or call 631-653-4224.

All you need is a jpg of an image of your work (size: at least 72 dpi, at least 6 x 6 inches) and a paragraph describing what you were thinking when you created the artwork. Email the image and descriptive paragraph with your name, town of residence, name of the work, medium, and artist website to Meryl Spiegel: meryl@merylspiegel.com.
