Demonstration by Roy Kinzer
The GOLDEN Artist Colors lecture/demo is a two-hour presentation on acrylic paints, gels and mediums. Learn how you can extend your paint by up to 70%, or create unique textural surfaces and effects. Explore grounds that enable you to print on nearly any surface you can feed through your ink jet printer. Additionally, the lecture covers OPEN, a slow-drying acrylic paint, and will also demystify pigments, lightfast, and color mixing. A free packet of literature and paint samples is provided. More about ROY KINZER
Roy Kinzer has been making and teaching art for over 30 years. He has an extensive exhibition record and frequently completes commissions for art consultant firms and private collectors. His current paintings, called "Urban Self-Similarity", are aerial cityscapes inspired by fractals and derived from satellite images and altered maps. Recent commissions include the Michael Lewis Company in Chicago and the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. Roy is a past recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Artist Grant. In 2013, the Eberly College of Science at Penn State Berks acquired four of his fractal-based paintings for their permanent collection. He holds a Certificate of Art from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts. Roy has been a Certified Working Artist since 2005.
