DINE with us. WINE with us. Be ENTERTAINED!

After many years, and following a fabulous and extensive reno-restoration, the historic SUFFOLK THEATER is open! On With The Shows! The theater first opened in 1933 to great acclaim, and now 80 years later, downtown Riverhead is again hearing thunderous applause on Main Street, as this one-of-a-kind landmark Art Deco theater has been revived as a flexible use space with two Deco bars, fully re-imagined as a cabaret/dinner theater/event space. Join us for concerts, big band dances, comedy, films, children's events, tributes and much more. Food, fun and entertainment await you!

For a complete schedule of events, please visit www.suffolktheater.com, or call the Box Office at 631-727-4343. There's always something to celebrate at The Suffolk Theater!

The community news website has created a column called First Impressions - where an image of artwork is posted each week and readers respond by writing comments about what the work means to them. At the end of the week, the artist posts what they were thinking when they created the piece. Click on the title above to see the first installment featuring local photographer Meryl Spiegel's Scissored, from her Phantoms series. Patch is looking for artists to participate. All you need is a jpg of an image of your work (size: at least 72 dpi, at least 6 x 6 inches) and a paragraph describing what you were thinking when you created the artwork. Email the image and descriptive paragraph with your name, town of residence, name of the work, medium, and artist website to Meryl Spiegel: meryl@merylspiegel.com.
