Virtual Showcase Registration Closes February 13

Tournament Schedule

The moment you have all been waiting for is almost here. The tournament schedule will be posted by Wednesday, February 13 by noon. Please check the website at www.capitolhillvolleyball.com for the schedule.

Team Check-In

REGULAR TEAM CHECK IN:
Friday, February 15 4:00 - 8:30pm
WEST REGISTRATION LOBBY OF THE WCC

LATE TEAM CHECK IN:
Saturday, February 16th from 7:30-10:00am in West Registration Lobby

Teams may be penalized if they are not checked in by 10:00am on the first day of the tournament, even if they play in the afternoon.

No teams will be checked in after 10:00am on the first day of play.

Player & Staff Wristbands:

At Team Check In, the Team Representative is issued wristbands for each player on the roster up to 15 and each staff member up to 3 (can be Coaches, Chaperones, Team Representatives, Managers, etc. or any combination of staff positions but no more than 3). These wristbands are included as part of the Team Registration fee - there is no extra charge for them.

Staff members listed on more than one roster receive only 1 wristband for the event.
All wristbands must be picked up at one time by the person checking in the team.

COACHES REMEMBER to issue your players a wristband before you ask them to meet you inside the playing venue. Players who do not have a wristband will not be allowed into the playing facility.

Practice & Play Times

PLAY TIMES:
Competition begins at 9 am on Saturday, February 16th, 2013.

The event runs in waves. The morning wave begins at 9 am; the afternoon wave begins at 3:30 pm. We will post exact starting times for age groups later. All teams should be prepared to play at 9 am on Day 1.

Final matches on most courts are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Monday, February 18. BE AWARE, however, that many courts run late on the 3rd day. Playing times for 2nd and 3rd days will depend on how the team finishes the day before. DO NOT assume you play in the same wave on the second day as you did on first.

PRACTICE TIMES:
Teams may use one court for one hour on Friday, February 15th, between 6 pm and 8 pm, provided we are finished setting up all the courts. Teams MUST check in prior to using a court for practice. Court use is on a first come first served basis on unused courts. We reserve the right to deny practice time if circumstances dictate. All players and spectators must leave the halls by 8:00 pm.

Make sure to pick up your Rox Volleyball card from Team Check-In. Fill out the card and turn it into the Rox Volleyball booth to receive a Rox whistle for players or a clipboard for coaches. Everyone who turns in a card is entered for a chance to win a $250 gift certificate to Rox Volleyball.
