What's New with Women United?
Women United hosted the January Lunch and Learn event at The History Center on January 31.
Madeleine Baker, ECA, Steve Hoffman, CANI, and Barbara Roberts, FWCS, shared impactful statistics about the current state of early childhood education in Allen County. The theme was to Educate, Engage, and Empower local women to join Women United and make a difference in our community. There are many opportunities to become involved with Women United: donate to United Way of Allen County, volunteer on one of the Women United committees, become involved with advocacy efforts, volunteer to work with children, and many more!

Advocacy Efforts for Early Childhood Education.
On Feb. 5, Jeanne Zehr of United Way of Allen County and John and Susie Peirce participated in the Indiana Association of United Ways (IaUW) Day at the Statehouse. They asked seven Allen County legislators to support legislation that will move toward the goal of ensuring that all Hoosier children have access to consistent, high-quality and affordable early learning opportunities.
Look forward to future opportunities to meet with your legislators to advocate for early childhood education!
Dates are coming soon!
