Mural by "Hooray for May!" featured artist Dan Fenelon
|
"Hooray for May!," a free family art day, will take place on Saturday, May 10th from 1-4 p.m. at The Center.
The event is offered free of charge to the public thanks to generous sponsorship support from Investors Bank. According to Antie Celli, Pluckemin Branch Manager, "At Investors we believe in supporting our communities. We're proud of sponsoring events such as "Hooray for May!" that bring families together for a day of fun and creativity."
"Hooray for May!" will be a fun day of making art with hands on projects in all three art studios and in the outdoor park pavilion. There will be crafts for Mother's Day gift giving, projects to take home, and creative community group projects. Family gallery tours will be available throughout the afternoon, as well as a do-it-yourself creative photo booth.
Banners created by families at "Hooray for May!" with guidance by New Jersey artist and muralist Dan Fenelon, will be prominently displayed in Local Business Sponsor locations after the event.
In addition to Investors Bank, many Local Business Sponsors and In Kind Sponsors have pitched in to support "Hooray for May!"
Local Business Sponsors include: Delicious Heights; J.M. Stringer Gallery of Fine Art; Mauro, Savo, Camerino, Grant & Schalk, PA; Princeton Public Affairs Group, Inc.; Somerset County Business Partnership; Valley Integrative Pharmacy; and Ventura, Miesowitz, Keough & Warner, P.C.
In Kind Sponsors include: Asian Food Market; Blick Art Materials; Edible Arrangements; Herr's Foods, Inc.; Friendly's; Nasco Arts and Crafts; Shop Rite of Bernardsville; Staples; The Stone Center at Bridgewater; Valley Integrative Pharmacy; and Wegmans.
We are very grateful for this wonderful show of community support. See you on May 10th!

Spring and Summer
Classes, Art Camps & Workshops
The spring session of classes and workshops for children and adults is underway with new classes starting this month. See the side bar for May workshops for adults including a special two-day mosaic workshop led by artist Becky Santora.
Registration is ongoing for The Center's popular weekly summer art camps which begin June 30th and run for nine weeks through August. Give your child or grandchild a creative summer to remember!
And remember that shorter sessions of adult afternoon and evening classes are offered all summer long to fit in with your vacation schedule. Because of the full schedule of children's summer art camps, offerings are limited and spaces fill quickly.
