Greetings!

Despite the bitter cold, it is warming to see students of all ages and levels of expertise working in our studios, and to welcome first time visitors to our galleries. And it has been especially gratifying to hear the exclamations of the ceramic students on the first day of class in the new studio!

Winter Classes & Workshops

Winter classes are underway and run through March. Most have new sessions for children and adults beginning in early February!

Meet and Greet with Local Author

This month local author Zachary Lichtmann will participate in a meet-and-greet event at The Center. He will read passages from his exciting new novel, "Dynamo," which has an important message for young adults: taking a stand to become the person you want to be is the greatest fight of your life.

A portion of the proceeds from all sales of "Dynamo" during the month of February will be donated to The Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Please join us on Saturday, February 15th from 1-2:30 p.m.

Photography as Painting

Ralph Bellantoni of the Courier News/Daily Record wrote, "Iconic Garden State artist Mel Leipzig enjoys worldwide renown for his magic realist paintings. He offers his painterly perspective on photography as curator for the first show of 2014 at the Center for Contemporary Art in Bedminster.

Leipzig hand-picked a trio of prime picture takers for Photography as Painting.... Christopher Fjelde, Francesca Picone and Aubrey Kauffman approach photography from diverse and distinctive viewpoints and intents."

"Photography as Painting" remains on view through February 22nd.

Looking Ahead: Hooray for May!

Mark your calendars and save the date of Saturday, May 10th for "Hooray for May! A Family Art Day." The Center is planning a fun-filled afternoon of indoor and outdoor creative activities for the whole family. Artist and muralist Dan Fenelon will lead participants in a special community project that will be displayed throughout the area!
