Insight Grants has indicated that PEP Grant Applications will not be available for new applicants in 2015.
According to Insight Grants: "The 2015 federal budget was finalized in mid-December. The U.S. Department of Education's Carol M. White Physical Education Program (PEP) was allocated $47 Million in December. In communications on this subject, we recently spoke with the PEP Program Manager, Carlette Kyser Pegram. We learned that the amount appropriated by Congress for 2015 was NOT enough to award new PEP grants in 2015."
So the Department of Education will not be holding a PEP competition in 2015 and does not expect to make any new PEP grant awards in 2015. We here at Peaceful Playgrounds have learned that continuation awards for existing PEP grant winners are scheduled to be funded for 2015. However, it is too soon to say what this means for PEP grants in 2016 and the future, but for this year, if you planned on applying for PEP, you will have to await 2016 opportunities.

New Physical Activity Court
Coming Soon
We will be releasing a new product consisting of a physical activity court and trail. The multi-purpose court will include dot drills, line drills and ladder drills. Approximately 50 physical activities to get children, staff and parents moving at a school site will be available. QR Codes will be included so that participants or teachers can scan the code to see how to perform the activities at the 50 stations using their smart phone. More information to follow.
