REALTOR� EMERITUS CANDIDATE FORMS DUE 10/2  

The deadline to complete certification forms for REALTOR� Emeritus status is Oct. 2. The REALTOR� Emeritus program recognizes REALTOR� and REALTOR�-Associate members with 40 years of continuous membership. Certified REALTOR� Emeritus members receive a waiver of their dues to the national association and are exempt from the quadrennial ethics training requirement. Certification forms are approved at the 2014 REALTORS� Conference & Expo in New Orleans. The dues waiver does not take effect until the following dues season. Information, forms, and eligibility requirements are online. If you are eligible, advise the MCAR office and we will submit your application.

 

NJAR� QUARTER CENTURY CLUB APPLICATION- DUE SEPT. 15 
If you have been a member of NJAR� for at least 25 years (need not be consecutive), you are eligible for the NJAR� Quarter Century Club. For the NJAR� Quarter Century Club application and requirements, click  here.
CE REQUIREMENT

CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE) IS A REQUIREMENT BY THE New Jersey Real Estate Commission (REC) for real estate licensees in New Jersey.  Licensees are reminded that to be eligible to renew their license for the 2013-15 license term they will need to have acquired a total of 12 credit-hours of continuing education, including at least six in Core topics, of which at least two must be in Ethics. The required credits must be obtained no later than June 30, 2015. A one elective credit CE course will be held from 10:30am-11:30am followed by the Business Card Exchange and RPAC Auction from 11:30am-3pm.

 

The CE course is Real Estate & Economic Outlook with Jed Smith of NAR where you will learn recent developments in the housing market, the direction of home prices in the next 1-2 years and more.

 

The Business Card Exchange is a chance to exchange business cards with affiliates, fellow REALTORS� and enjoy lunch.

 

The RPAC Auction is a fun way to bid on items and contribute to RPAC - the real estate industry's insurance and possibly go home with an item. The deadline to earn a credit on the NJAR� Circle of Excellence Sales Award� by contributing $100 or more to RPAC is September 22, 2014. This is the perfect opportunity to make a contribution before the deadline.
