Greetings!
There are a lot of reasons to love October, but we're particularly fond of this month because it's Badger's birthday! As our way of saying thanks to you for an amazing 17 years, we're putting everything we make on sale for 15% off through October 31st.
October is also fair trade month, so be sure to try out one of Badger's Fair Trade Certified products during this great sale.
And just in case you were wondering how this great little company called Badger got started, I'll leave you with a trip down memory lane... Enjoy!
Sincerely, Jen, for the Badgers |

The History of Badger |
 | Carpenters Paul, Anton, & Badger Bill brave the elements, 1989. |
"Back in the winter of 1993, I was a carpenter with cracked fingers. I spent much of my time banging nails outside in some pretty harsh conditions. I also loved working with herbs and natural remedies. This turned out to be a fortunate coincidence: as fate would have it, I went into my kitchen and made up a batch of what later became Badger Healing Balm. It healed my fingers and a business was born.
I was going to call the first product "Bear Paw" but the name was already taken! At first I was disappointed, but then the name "Badger" came to me, as if in a dream, and I knew it was the right choice. The Badger is a healing totem: The Root Gatherer, with a deep knowledge of the secrets of the root and herb kingdoms; fierce and effective in defense of the self and family, and persistent in overcoming obstacles, successfully seeing projects through to the end."

| ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ | As the years progressed and the line of products grew, machinery was added and Badger became a full-fledged manufacturing facility. Now these machines pour hot, expertly blended herbal formulas into Badger decorated tins, thousands per hour, all day long, to be shipped all over the world.

Badger has grown from a single product, backroom operation, to a USDA Certified Organic facility. Even though we've grown and moved into a new home, little has changed about the way we make products. They are still minimally processed, powerfully pure and effective, simple blends of amazing ingredients.
We've come a long way from the kitchen!
