Vacations are important personal investments.
Where did you go this summer? Did you have an exotic adventure? Or did you just relax and recharge with family and friends? Whatever route you took, know that holidays are super important. I spent time with my family in Aspen - as I am sure a lot of you already know from my many FB posts - and got to read some yummy books like "China Rich Girlfriend" by Kevin Kwan. It was awesome and much needed. There's still August left to explore and have an adventure, so get out there and have some fun!
Some People Can Fall Asleep Anywhere!
For the rest of us, especially water Day Masters RenGui who toss and turn and can't switch off our brains I have some tips and tools to share.

What I learned this past year is that everyone needs to dip down into a deep pattern of sleep where your body recharges and heals. When you either don't get enough sleep or constantly get up throughout the night, your immune system, weight, and many other health issues come into play like exhaustion and depression.

Bad habit check list:
  1. Is your bedroom located in the West or Southeast sector of your house in 2015?
  2. Do you have a TV, computer, mirrors or other electronics in the bedroom?
  3. Do you go to sleep after watching the news or with the TV on?
Try these tips for a better night's sleep:
  • Light a Sleepy Time magical candle from the Good Karma Shop, secret recipe of essential oils send out a relaxing vibration to calm the bedroom

  • Place by your bedside table a Lepidolite crystal along with a Black Tourmaline; Lepidolite is the lithium of the crystal kingdom that calms and soothes while Black Tourmaline absorbs negative energy from environmental frequencies

  • Melotonin from Whole Foods, because your body is supposed to produce it naturally but you may not be producing enough

  • Essential oils either in a diffuser to fill up the room with vapors or place oils directly on your wrists and on the bottom of your feet; I like Doterra Oils of Serenity, Lavender and Vetiver

  • Sleep Well Tea is a handmade mixture of chamomile, lavender, passion flower, lemon balm and valerian root from Peter Bedard.
  • No TV, computers, mirrors or ceiling fans in the bedroom, if you must have a TV cover it at night because it emits harmful unseen energies even when turned off

  • My new discovery is "Earthing." Developed by www.earthing.com the concept is to ground yourself to the physical earth. I have been sleeping with an Earthing blanket which is plugged into the grounding socket in my bedroom and it has been amazing

Upcoming Workshops
Creating personalized workshops with hands-on experience of spiritual techniques and magical tools is one of my favorite things to do. Two ideas have been on my mind for the past year:

The Art of Reinvention
do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur?

A Life in the Arts
why aren't you making money &
how can we change that?

Both are being planned for September and October, but I would love to hear from you whether these topics are of interest to those living in the Los Angeles area and possibly Aspen in September and NYC in October. Shoot me an email and let me know.

I'd love to connect with your awesome friends to create a stronger and larger community of like-minded spiritual folks. Please take a moment to share my newsletters so more people can join in the conversation.
VISIT THE GOOD KARMA SHOP
Still in the process of finding my way through the new formats of "mobile-friendly" so please be patient as I find my visual voice! I have to remind myself that sometimes it's okay to be evolving and transforming on every level. For those who wait for things to be "perfect" (hint... hint... to Earth Day Masters) sometimes you just have to go for it and get something out there!

Namaste,
Anita
