A Fortune Teller Told Me

One of my favorite books of all time is A Fortune Teller Told me by Italian journalist Terzani. When I arrived in Hong Kong years ago my friend Pete told me to get this book - that it had changed his life. So I did. And it is an amazing read. Terzani spent a year visiting fortune tellers throughout Asia and was told that if he flew that year his plane would crash. So, he took every conceivable mode of transport to avoid planes and in fact he would have died - as he gave up his seat on a plane that went down. But the point of this story is his adventure as a major skeptic having his fortune told.
And to my surprise, I happened onto Gaiam TV and discovered that filmmaker Brendan McDonnell created a series called A Fortune Teller Told Me inspired by this book and I highly recommend it as a super fun journey without leaving home. It really inspired me and I hope you dig it too!
