 | Volunteers Needed for Registration | |
Parent volunteers are necessary for registration to be successful and accomplished in a timely manner. We can't run our annual registration event without the help of our parents !
We still need many volunteers on Thursday August 4th, Friday August 5th and Monday, August 8th. Please take a look at the Sign Up Genius and pick an open slot! Remember, you may register your child, the day that you work.

 | Message from the PFA President | |
Dear Medea Creek Middle School Families, On behalf of the Medea Creek Parent Faculty Association, welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! We hope you all had a wonderful summer break. We are Tas Sutarwala and Andrea Klopert your Medea Creek PFA Co-Presidents. We are fortunate to be surrounded by compassionate, hardworking parents who volunteer their time and expertise to serve on the PFA Board. Our goal is to enhance the education and welfare of the students and maintain a line of communication between home, school and the Oak Park Unified School District. We are all available to answer questions and provide support. Click here to view the MCMS 2015-2016 PFA Governing Board.
We would like to extend a special welcome to our new families. Transitioning to a new school is exciting but also has potential for many questions. The PFA will be conducting a Parent Q&A on the first day of Camp Medea, August 3rd from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Medea Creek faculty lounge. Parents are invited to drop in to ask questions and learn about Medea Creek.Registration will take place on August 4th and 5th , with a make-up day on August 8th . Forms are now online at the Medea Creek website. The PFA coordinates the registration volunteers and we can always use additional help. It's not too late to volunteer. Click here to sign up.
The PFA relies on the financial support from Medea Creek families to achieve our goal to provide the best middle school experience possible. During registration families are asked to join the Medea Creek PFA and donate to the No Frills Fundraiser - our one and only fundraising campaign. Every dollar donated stays at Medea Creek and goes directly to benefit the school and its students. This year, we plan to provide funds for student clubs, assemblies, classroom and teaching materials, as well as electives and extra curricular activities. Click here for additional No Frills Fundraiser information.
There are many components to ensuring a successful education and the willingness of our Medea Creek parents to get involved is definitely one of the key factors in our school's success. At Medea Creek, parents contribute in so many ways including volunteering in the office, helping educate at the Ability Awareness Fair, baking items for Open House, sharing professional expertise. There really is something for everyone when it comes to volunteer opportunities and we welcome all of you to get involved - Look for the online Volunteer Form as part of your Registration packet.
We hope you all had a wonderful summer break.
Tas Sutarwala and Andrea Klopert
