Culmination Photos

Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Students,

We are well into spring, which means Culmination is not far away.  Medea Creek Middle School will be taking Culmination photographs. On Wednesday and Thursday April 13th and 14th, eighth grade students will have their photographs taken.  This photograph will be part of a Culmination Folio, which is a decorative folder containing the Culmination certificate and, of course, this photograph.  Each eighth grader will receive one, free of charge, at the Culmination ceremony on May 25th.

Please see the schedule below to see when you should report to the MCMS gym to have your photo taken.  Students will receive the proofs, taken by Lifetouch photography, by the end of May.  Families may purchase a picture package, but THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO.  Students, regardless of whether they purchased a picture package, will receive their photograph in the decorative Culmination Folio on May 25th.  However, you must get your photograph taken to receive it in the Folio!  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 818 707-7922.

Sincerely,
Amanda Bagheri
Assistant Principal

Attire must adhere to MCMS Dress Code and be dressy-but certainly NOT formal.  Remember, this is going in your Culmination Folio! Pictures are taken from the waist up.
NOTE: (There are no make-up days)

Your Donations Make a Difference
Thanks for donating
We can't believe the school year is coming to an end. Thanks to our generous parents at Medea Creek, the PFA has approved to fund many projects and expenditures at our school. One of the most exciting is a new Science garden! All grade levels will benefit from the garden and the many teaching opportunities that it will provide. Also, the PFA supports the various lunchtime and after school clubs that are on campus. We have purchased various technology equipment, installed a new scoreboard in the gym, made improvements to the amphitheater area and purchased lunch tables and umbrellas for better shade in the lunch area. We continuously provide assistance with classroom and office supplies, computer equipment, and counseling programs for our students.

With your generosity the PFA can continue to support the teachers and staff throughout the year. Thank-you!

CJSF - Pennies for Patients
Pennies for Patients sponsored by CJSF will take place April 11-April 14. Boxes will be in all Period 1 "A" classes. Students are encouraged to fill up the boxes with cash and loose change. All monies go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society where patients with blood cancers live better, longer lives. Students from all across the the country collect spare change to benefit LLS. We would like to raise $1000.00 this year and we need everyone's help. Students will collect coins and other donations and put them in their classrooms' collection box April 11-April 14. The top selling class will be awarded with a special celebration. Every penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or dollar donated help save the lives of cancer patients.
