Mr. Benioff's February Message
A Month With Something For Everyone

Luckily, this is a Leap Year. This February is packed with events and activities at Medea Creek!

We start of February with the Chinese Cultural Night on  February 5 at Oak Park High School, Pavilion from 7pm - 9pm.

Super Saturday is February 6 at Oak Park High School from 10am to 2pm.  The annual event sponsored by the Environmental Education and Awareness Committee focused on wildlife conservation, preserving biodiversity, and living a more sustainable life. Admission is FREE and there will be an opportunity for kids to build solar powered model cars they can take home, make seed clusters, explore a tide pool touch tank, see rescued wild birds and rainforest creatures and much more. You can recycle your used clothing, electronic waste, eyeglasses, and paper.

Abilities Awareness Fair will take place in 7th grade PE classes on February 9th and 10th.   This event is sponsored by our PFA and carried out by many parent volunteers.  Students experience what it feels like to have obstacles in their lives that some of their peers may be experiencing.  Simulations of sight or hearing limits, reading, processing, or maneuvering in a wheelchair, give students an understanding and empathy of issues others face.
