Emergency Preparedness
Do you know what happens with your kids in the event of an emergency?

Emergency Procedures at Medea
Emergency Procedures at Medea

Our faculty and staff regularly prepare and practice for emergency situations from earthquakes to fire to lock downs.  It's important that all of our Medea Creek families regularly review the procedures that are used to care for our children and ultimately to release  them (in the event of a major emergency)  back to their families.  All of this information is available on our website.  Please take a few moments to watch the video, read the information, and familiarize yourself with the request and reunion gates that you would be using in the event of an emergency.  All of this information can be found on the main website page under the Emergency Information Tab.  This is located right next to the Upcoming Events tab in the middle of the page. Volunteers Needed to Handout Food Samples at all Schools

On Friday, October 16th, OPUSD will be aligning with the UN's "Zero Hunger Challenge" and joining other groups around the world to celebrate World Food Day.  This "Challenge" raises awareness of how individuals can make small changes in their diets and in doing so help eliminate world hunger. On this day, OPUSD will be enticing students with some tasty vegetarian food samples.  We are looking for a few volunteers at each school to help us hand out these yummy morsels. Click here to Signup with Signup genius.

Thank you!

Pat Yerich for all the countless hours spent in putting together the printed directory. Great Job!!! This is Pat's final year as the Directory Chair. You will be missed Pat.

Rubiah Haq for coordinating the Directory Cover contest.

Melissa Stone for a great job handling advertising for the directory.

Jeanine Kennedy, Stacy Carter, Linda Sharp, Annapurna Nori, Kay Jean Howell, Julie John and Ragini Aggarwal for their help with directory distribution and proofing.

We could not have done this without the great assistance of Loretta Brown and Debbie Church in the Office and the MCMS Teachers.
