	Odyssey of the Mind - Informational Meeting

	Parent volunteers needed to coach, co-coach, judge and assist in the Odyssey of the Mind program. This is friendly competition where students can showcase a wide range of talents such as script writing, prop and scenery design, music, dance, building, robotics, etc. Coaches work with students in teams of 5-7 to solve a long term problem and prepare for a spontaneous problem on competition day. For more information please attend the information night on September 15th at Medea Creek Middle School in the gym from 7:00-9:00 pm. 	ASB's Color Run Fundraiser

	The major student activity fundraiser of the year is underway, and will culminate with the Ultra Fun Run next Friday afternoon. Students are encouraged to get flat pledges or pledges per lap from family members and friends. An easy way to make this happen is to enter a potential donor's email address onto the Ultra Fun Run website, Ultrafunrun.com and follow the directions given during the kickoff assembly. Emails will be sent on the student's behalf to all names entered. Students can also collect cash and checks for flat pledges from family and friends in person as well. Collection envelopes are available at the student window if your child does not have one. Flat pledges, cash and checks, are due to be turned in next Wednesday, September 16th,before school starts. ASB students will be in the gym to collect all envelopes. Please remind your students to write their period 1A day teacher's name on the envelope. 	2015-2016 Campus Clubs

	Club week was very successful at Medea with lots of new and returning clubs. Some of the meeting days have been finalized and some are not as teachers are re-arranging schedules so that clubs do not all meet on the same day. Students should read/listen to the morning announcements (or check the hard copy posted at the Student Window) for Club meeting times and places. 	Weekly eNews and Daily Student Annoucements

	Daily Student Announcements are Available on the MCMS Website! In an effort to keep parents informed about student activities at Medea Creek, we started something new last year. We post the written document of the Daily Student Announcements on the Medea Creek website. ASB produces a daily video shown during first period containing information on club activities, upcoming deadlines, and other events at Medea Creek. Not all classes are able to watch the video so a written document of the information discussed in the video is posted in the library, at the student window and also on our website. You can find the written account of Daily Student Announcements on the MCMS website on the Homepage under "Site Shortcuts" or under the "Students" tab. Check it out! *Weekly eNews* Every Saturday, we try and keep you updated about events and happenings at Medea and the District with the weekly eNews. 	Giving Thanks - Teacher Appreciation Meeting

	The format of Teacher Appreciation is changing this year with events throughout the year, rather than all in one week. Come learn about the changes and help design events that show our gratitude to the wonderful MCMS teachers and staff members. Thursday, September 17th, 8:30 am in the Teacher's Lounge.
