The Business Development Officer position is located in the Printing & Multimedia Services Unit, of the General Services Department (GSDPM).
General Description: The Business Development Officer supports the activities of the Printing & Multimedia Services business unit, which includes a wide range of in-house audiovisual, print and creative media services.   This position will develop and market high quality media products and services to World Bank Group (Bank) clients.  The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying demand and developing service packages and pricing, designing an outreach plan, and managing business relationships with the Bank community.  He/she will demonstrate to clients a coordinated and consolidated technology approach, which satisfies their multimedia needs. 
Job Purpose:
Provides account management services to the various product lines offered by the Printing & Multimedia Services business unit. Serves as a champion and  protector of the GSDPM brand to the institution. Builds awareness and develops Bank client relationships. Advises clients on products, services, and capabilities and matches business needs with the best multimedia solutions.  Helps clients create multimedia strategies. Creates and maintains goodwill with clients at all levels in the Bank with high levels of engagement fostering strong, trusting relationships. Generates new business and  is a client representative, voice and advocate.  Ensures that client requirements and preferences are well understood.  Works to maintain client satisfaction, improve communication and resolve conflicts. Reviews market trends and market growth, and prevents stagnancy. Recommends new products and updates to existing services. Shares information on new products among functional areas within unit, motivates staff, and generates excitement around new initiatives. Develops performance standards and processes for customer delivery, and works to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Taking into account the autonomy of some Bank clients, fosters a consistent image and message across clients and products and advances corporate graphic standards and initiatives. Develops strategic partnerships with External Affairs, Legal, and Corporate Communications for promotion and protection of World Bank Group brand. For significant-sized projects involving multiple areas of expertise, develops project approach and sets short- and long-term goals. May negotiate business terms with Bank units, prepare cost/time estimates, monitor progress, prevent redundant requests, and track major milestones and actual costs against estimates Conducts unit brainstorming sessions, makes presentations to clients, and attends unit meetings.  Handles additional management and administrative projects as necessary. Helps GSD managers formulate and implement strategic objectives and the business unit work program.  Participates in developing Strategic Performance Contract goals, defining indicators, and ensuring successful achievement of these goals.
Minimum Education: BA or BS (MA/MS preferred) in a relevant field (business administration, finance, marketing, innovative technology, social media strategies etc) OR equivalent combination of education/experience.
Minimum Experience: 5 years of professional experience at a level of full responsibility in a publishing, marketing communications, advertising, or agency environment.

Program Coordinator - Mail Specialist

Purpose

To coordinate the Bulk Mail Operations within the Mail Services Department.

Essential Functions

Responsible for the daily operations of the area making sure all customer mailing needs are met. Communicate status of jobs with Assistant Mail Services Supervisor or the Mail Services Manager. Make necessary day to day changes and decisions to meet service level agreements. Tracks Bulk Mail Operations expenditures and makes sure all jobs are billed correctly through Document Solutions Accounting. Prepares and processes all paperwork and reports concerning Bulk Mail Operations. Conducts one-on-one consultations with Bulk Mail Customers which includes providing estimates. Must be subject matter expert on USPS Standard Mail regulations. Runs inserting and addressing equipment when needed. Performs related mail processing duties as assigned by the Assistant Mail Supervisor of Mail Services Manager. May be required to run mail delivery route when necessary.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree with five years of Bulk Mail experience or High School Diploma or GED with nine years of Bulk Mail Service experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

9+ years of Bulk Mail Service experience. USPS Mail Piece Design Professional Certificate
