Special shout-out to Augusta County Breweries In the shadows of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah National Park are Augusta County's two craft breweries - Seven Arrows and Stable Craft. Each is a unique experience apart from the other, from showcasing and acknowledging the history of the area to shouting three cheers for grand horses and hospitality. The one thing they have in common, however, is their love for all things local. The story at Seven Arrows fits neatly into the history of the Shenandoah Valley, as it's inspired by a Native American blessing, and the Valley has been referred to as the Great Warrior Path. With Skyline Drive running the length of Shenandoah National Park (just minutes from Seven Arrows), it's no surprise to find "Skyline Lager" in the line-up. It's a 2015 Virginia Craft Brewers Festival medal winner! Brand new on the local beer scene is Stable Craft, but its home - Hermitage Hill Farm and Stables - is not new to great customer service and hospitality. Based on the equestrian farm, Stable Craft stays true to its parental roots by growing hops on site to produce 16 beers. A visit to this place delivers a frothy delight as well as a beautiful landscape dotted with horses. Seek out Morocco, a stunning Clydesdale stallion, then try the IPA made with those homegrown Cascade hops. The patio is the perfect place to take it all in. The best way to visit our craft breweries and explore even more is by following the Shenandoah Beerwerks Trail. We're a central stop between the Harrisonburg and Lexington end points. Along our portion of the trail you'll find outdoor adventure with easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and South River. Visit Polyface Farm and shop at our farmer's markets. After you've filled up on flights, food and nature, check out the other ten breweries on the trail.
